Summary of the Book
Three people have been given second lives, and another chance. Liam O’Connor, Maddy Carter and Sal Vikram should have died, but they find themselves working for an agency that doesn’t exist. Their mission, and the mission of the agency, is to prevent the destruction of history through illegal time travel. Liam and the newest recruit, Rashim, travel to Victorian London, in 1666, at the time of the Great Fire. They are trapped between the fire and the River Thames, escaping onto a river boat captained by a madman who will do anything for the treasure of the high seas. In 1888, Maddy and the others try to track their comrades down through time. However, will their limited resources be enough to battle the age of pirates?
