Summary of the Book
The book begins and ends in a span of one day. It starts off with a cold, rainy day in Mir Ali, a small town in Pakistan’s tribal areas which is close to the Afghan border. Three brothers decide to meet for breakfast and from there they move on to continue their day. The oldest one, who has just returned from America, gets a taxi so he can visit the mosque. The second one, whose wife is troubled and cannot join in, checks in at a hospital. The youngest goes to town on a motorbike with a beautiful girl behind him who is lost in thoughts about the war. Three hours later their day ends with critical circumstances.
